The Disaster Restoration Estimator will be responsible for creating and managing estimates within the commercial and industrial sectors. This role is part of our pre-mitigation and preconstruction estimating team, where you will prepare budgets, estimates, and pre-bid packages utilizing Xactimate, ROMS, NTE, Time & Material, and other relevant methods.

Skills

Proficient in estimating software such as Xactimate or Symbility
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong damage assessment capabilities
Familiarity with project budgeting and scheduling
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
General knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

Create accurate and timely estimates using estimating software
Conduct job walkthroughs and damage assessments
Document the building’s condition and extent of damage
Collaborate with project management to develop project budgets and production schedules
Assist in creating Job Hazard Assessments (JHA)
Support project management with change orders and project invoices
Maintain communication with clients, insurance carriers, and stakeholders
Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets

Qualifications

4-6 years of related experience
Proven experience in estimating large, full-scale projects
Familiarity with standard concepts and practices in the restoration and reconstruction fields
Ability to travel frequently and on short notice within the Northeast region

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Relevant certifications in estimating or restoration preferred
